Born and raised in southeast Louisiana, Amos Distefano has been a community activist in New Orleans for 10 years. He has worked with Trans Queer Youth NOLA since 2018, and is currently reigning Empress for the New Orleans Radical Faeries, a member of NOAGE, Lords of Leather, Crescent City Leathermen and volunteers with VCPORA. When he is not engaged in organizing fundraisers or pot lucks, Amos enjoys dancing and facilitating community centered choreography exercises. As a 2018 graduate from Loyola New Orleans with a degree in Sociology & Religious Studies, he has a strong passion for the preservation and history of our city and aspires to help trans history continue to be a strong focus for the LGBT Archives.
