DAUGHTERS OF BILITIS COLLECTION
Longtime New Orleans Daughters of Bilitis leader Sharon Dauzat recently donated her vast collection of photographs and papers for preservation. Board President Kathleen Conlon and Executive Director Frank Perez recently traveled to Euless, Texas, to meet with Dauzat and her wife Nancy Moore (pictured above) and assess her collection. This treasure trove of material will be a great asset to future researchers. The Archives Project is proud to assist in its preservation.
HARRY HODGES CARNIVAL COLLECTION
We’re always excited when a Carnival collection comes our way. Thanks to Harry Hodges, who recently donated his personal collection of ephemera and memorabilia for preservation. Hodges collection includes photographs, Gay Carnival ball invitations and programs, and the trophy he won at the Bourbon Street Awards costume contest in 2000. The costumes, pictured above, are “He-tini & She-tini, A Toast to the New Millennium.”
NOAMP PANEL DISCUSSION
Our recent New Orleans AIDS Memory Project panel discussion on Medical and Service Providers was a huge success. Thanks to panelists Dr. Michael Kaiser, Dr. DeAnn Gruber, Katy Quigley, and Noel Twilbeck! The discussion was well attended and very informative. Our next NOAMP event is scheduled for September 12 at the Dodwell House. Dr. Lily Hodges will be our keynote speaker. More information about the New Orleans AIDS Memory Project may be found here.

Your financial support is crucial to this effort. Would you please consider becoming a monthly donor or making a one-time gift? Doing so is easy here. Corporate and business sponsorships are also available. To see our current sponsors, click here. Thank you to all who currently support us!
